That Living Romance

THE VAMPIRE MOVIE AS WE KNOW IT. At least in my generation. Period, adult and to a certain degree unrelatable, Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula told of a love so lasting, it surpassed life, death, evil and eternity.

Growing up with a love story like this makes you wonder how any living man to come into your life could ever measure up to that level of undying passion and romance. Overflowing with feverish love and longing for a sole female quite plain -save for the feverish love and longing being thrown her way- it's really not that different from today's vampire movies.

Passion, not pulse, apparently keeps romance alive. Question is, how do you sustain passion?

Bram Stoker's Dracula, 1992. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
