That Sac à Dépêches

CELEBRATING ONE OF THE MANY LEGACIES Her Serene Highness left behind since her passing 30 years ago.

The Sac à Dépêches was produced by Hermès in the 1930's, a decade which saw the company introduce some of its most recognized goods, including the iconic carrés. Distinctive as it was, the handbag only rose to extreme popularity in the 50's, when it was frequently photographed toted by Princess Grace for concealing her baby bump from the paparazzi. It has since then come to be known as the Kelly bag, a classic much sought-after to this day.
