Those Hanging Houses

ANXIETY AND VULNERABILITY OVER A WORLD THAT IS CRUMBLING DOWN. Amy Casey's paintings are not literal recreations of a recurring dream she's had about the end of the world but they are definitely influenced by them.

In her artist statment, she explains that although her depictions reflect a nervous state of world affairs, this created world of hers "bands together to come up with coping plans."

"I am fascinated by the resilience of life. Every disaster is followed by rebirth, where we try to cobble together a plan b out of what remains."
