IT'S AMAZING HOW BEING BUSY can cause you to feel so present and so absent at the same time. Productive on one hand, unaccomplished on the other, it's hard to consider individual tasks finished when they are all strung together in an endless, interwoven list of to-do's.
With no time to stop and process things that have transpired, everything becomes a mundane, motional blur. And you can lose yourself in a blur.
Made it a point to put everything aside for a quickie with Alfred Hitchcock last night. Before I completely vanish.
