That Romance of the Sea






"THE BINARY NATURE of sea and artist... dissolving into each other as waves crashing on a beach."

From one of the the Philippines' most distinguished living painters is an insightful depiction of the sea and its emotions, expressed in color and calligraphy-like strokes. Romance of the Sea, a new series of works by Catalonia-born and Manila-raised Juvenal Sanso, will be on exhibit at the Gallery Joaquin in Podium from October 20-31.

Past works by the artist can also be viewed in over 28 museums around the globe, including the
Musee d'Art Moderne in Paris, the Smithsonian Institution in D.C. and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
